The Uniting Church in Garden Lane opens new community coffee shop 'The Sun on The Plum'
The Uniting Church in Garden Lane’s new community coffee shop 'The Sun on The Plum' opened its doors this month. It will run as a pilot project for the next two months from the Uniting Church in Garden Lane on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. If there proves to be sufficient interest, the coffee shop will become a more permanent venture. It is currently volunteer led by church members and supported by friends in the local community. Non profit making, it relies on small donations for hot and cold drinks and a range of cake including gluten free and vegan options.
The Plum Project launched during the pandemic in 2020, a unique alliance between the Church and the community with a joint mission to build an exciting, sustainable future for the Uniting Church and the neighbourhood.

The Uniting Church in Garden Lane has strong links with the local community and is considered as being at the heart of the local Garden Quarter. Find out more: North Cheshire - Garden Lane (northcheshiremethodists.org.uk)
