AN INTRODUCTION TO LIVING FAITH: OUR SYNOD THEME FOR 2025-2027

As we move our focus from Talking Faith to Living Faith, it’s a good idea for us to consider the direction of travel that we take.

As we journey through Living Faith, this should not stop our desire to talk faith, as part of Living Faith is finding ways to ‘invite’ others to the life we have discovered.

Living Faith will hopefully see people growing as disciples and thinking more deeply about how their lives are being transformed to become more like Jesus.

This will have different strands, growing as disciples, whether we are new to faith or have been Christians for many years. A focus on whole life discipleship can show the difference between being a disciple on a Sunday morning and being a disciple in everyday life.

This might mean we have to look at the way we are as church: are we focussed solely on building-based activities or are we equipping people for the lives they live in community with others?
